Piratini Palace

Piratini Palace
Brazil

The Piratini Palace is a centennial house. It was during the administration of Borges de Medeiros in the 1920s that the building, begun in 1910, became the administrative headquarters of the state government of Rio Grande do Sul, in the gaucho capital Porto Alegre. With its rooms in neoclassical style, its murals, furniture, sculptures, and other works of art, the Piratini Palace is a tourist attraction that shows the history of the state and the country in its walls. Open to visitors, visiting the Palace is always an enriching and unforgettable experience for everyone who passes through here.
